I think it is this week that TA TURNS 40,
He’s as old as Sesame Street!! That old puppet show that has been around forever!! The saving grace is that it at least in colour!
So to celebrate both of these events I'm paying a vist to TA and Cybz house – It’s 3 a.m. and Cybz is very tired. TA is sitting bolt-upright in bed and is thinking.
TA: Hey Cybz!
Cybz has her back to TA and is curled up trying to sleep.
Cybz: What is it TA? TA: I’m 40. Cybz: Yes soon. Very nice TA, now please go back to sleep. TA: Yeah but I can count up to 40 Cybz. 1…2….3….4… Cybz: TA! TA: Er, yes, Cybz? Cybz: It’s three o’clock in the morning TA! TA: Yeah, but er I can count up to 40… 1….2…3… Cybz: TA! TA: Er, yes Cybz? Cybz: Can you count to 40 tomorrow TA? I’ve work in the morning! TA: Oh, ok Cybz. TA: Thanks.
Cybz turns back around and tries to get back to sleep. TA is still sitting up, looks to Cybz then away again.
TA: 1969.
He looks at Cybz, there’s no response.
TA: 1969. Man on the moon….. Hey Cybz. Cybz: (Sleepily) Yes TA? TA: It’s 40 years since man went on the moon. Cybz: Hmmmmmm. TA: Then came 1970. Cybz: Hmmmmmmm. TA: 71… 72…. 73… 74… 75…. Cybz: TA! TA: Er, yes Cybz? Cybz: Can you please be quiet TA? TA: Oh, sorry Cybz. Cybz: Count in your head. TA: Oh I wasn’t counting Cybz, I was thinking through the years. 1975. Cybz: Hmmm. TA: West Ham won the cup that year. Cybz: Very nice, you can tell me all about it in the morning.
Cybz turns around again and tries to get back to sleep again.
TA: 76. Hot summer. 77 – the silver Jubilee. 78… 79… 80… Cybz: TA! TA: Er, yes Cybz? Cybz: Can you please go to sleep? It’s gone three in the morning! TA: Yeah but I was just getting up to 1981 Cybz. Cybz: What’s that got to do with it? TA: Well that’s when Only Fools and Horses started.
…predictable punchline.. this way------>
Cybz: (Now awake) Oh yes, that’s right 1981, so it was! Wow. What’s that now? Gosh, twenty eight years ago! Before I was born even. Only thirty minutes though then in the first series. First one was Big Brother of course. The one where Rodney leaves home. Funny how that’s now a series of its own isn’t it TA? TA? TA: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Cue cymbals and drums....
Happy Birthday to TA – Many Happy Returns from the Forum.
For he’s not a jolly good fellow – well, not a bad old stick – and so say all of us..

Leo Sayer lives near me. So does Geoff Hurst.

No Sorry Piston it's actually neither. The original did actually have a live audience but nobody laughed. And the episode was so bad it was actually renamed 'A pair of twos'.

I FLIPPING HATE THAT CREEPY, PERVY SONG AND YOU KNOW IT!
In fact most Christmas music makes me cringe. There are a few good'uns, but most are creepy.

Christmas music is great. I have a vinyl album of Phil Spectre's Christmas songs that I used to play all the time-in the days of needles and grampophones!
Cybz's favourite Christmas song is Stop the Cavalry by Jona Louie. She loves it.
