I loved Christmas when I was a kid, even though I never always got what I was after.

Then as I grew older and realised the value of money, I started to hate the commercialism of Christmas, I quickly began to go down the bah-humbug path.

I now love Christmas and everything about it for my kids and hopefully make it enjoyable for them.

It's too early - only as I'm looking forward to it so much this year. Christmas with the family then we're on holiday for two weeks, great! So it all can't come soon enough for me.

Being old enough to have a footy teams worth of grand kids, I only really enjoy it for their sakes to be honest. If it wasn't for them, I'd probably enjoy the time off and that would be about it.

lol, it's not being 'scrooge like', it's just that Christmas is for kids really. The adults amongst us do it for them not us

Christmas is the business. It's there to be enjoyed without having to ask yourself why.

Blimey' this Crimbo thing is getting a bit heated isn't it? Course' it's for kids.

Adults could do the same things they do at Christmas any time of the year, and often do, well, I do anyway. Don't you? Getting bladdered, buying gifts, eating too much; why limit it to Christmas? It is a religeous festival after all and unless you take the real reason for it at all seriously, why only get in the party mood on one date in the year?

That's what I mean by it being for kids who, lets be honest, mostly don't give a toss about the reason for it; all they want, unless they are very young, is to be given a nice piece of expensive, commercialism to show off to their mates.

Christmas is a time for the family. Except for orphans.

Ok, I'll give you the point for the 'buying gifts' bit, but I'm sure the rest counts lol

Not really know, i dont see all my family all year around as much as i do at christmas, half the family are rather religous so its always extra special for that side. I get to see 2 sides to christmas which makes mine all the more exciting. And apart from my 2nd cousins (4) theres no kids around anymore.
